Bombas Co-Founder Invests in K9 Resorts and Signs Multi-Unit Agreement

(PRESS RELEASE) FAIRFIELD, CT — As demand for luxury pet care continues to grow, K9 Resorts Luxury Pet Hotel is expanding its presence in Connecticut with a significant multi-unit franchise agreement. The award-winning pet boarding and daycare brand has signed a deal to bring three new locations to the state, led by experienced entrepreneurs Andrew, Sandra and Robert Heath.

The first two resorts will open in Fairfield and New Haven counties, with a third planned for Hartford county. These additions will strengthen K9 Resorts’ footprint in Connecticut, where the brand already has an established presence with its successful Stamford location.

Behind the Signed Agreement – The Heath Family:

  • Andrew Heath – As co-founder of Bombas, the comfort-focused sock and apparel company with a philanthropic mission, Andrew helped transform the company into a household name while serving as CFO and COO for over a decade. He also co-founded Regalis Foods, a specialty food company known for high-end ingredients. From building infrastructure and capital for startups to creating and managing financial strategies for more than two decades, Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge to the K9 system.
  • Sandra Heath – A seasoned marketing professional with over 20 years of experience, Sandra started her career in the agency world before transitioning to the client-side. Her skillset includes shaping brand strategies and consumer engagement efforts.
  • Robert Heath – A first-generation immigrant and lifelong entrepreneur, Robert set an industry standard when he founded Fibar, one of the leading playground safety surfacing companies. His deep operational knowledge and business acumen will be instrumental in the family’s expansion into pet care.

“K9 Resorts isn’t just another pet care service, it’s a revolutionary brand that combines luxury, cleanliness and professionalism,” said Andrew. “Dogs have always been a big part of our life, and K9 Resorts is the perfect opportunity to bring my family’s expertise into an industry that brings people joy.”

K9 Resorts is leading the pack among luxury pet care franchises with more than 170 resorts across 28 states currently operating or in various stages of development. With pet boarding expected to become a $35.8 billion industry by 2031, K9 is poised to further dominate the sector with its proven franchise opportunity.

“My brother and I founded K9 Resorts to provide the best pet care experience to dogs, and having accomplished entrepreneurs such as the Heath family recognize the value our services provide is truly rewarding,” said Jason Parker, Co-Founder and CEO of K9 Resorts. “We’re incredibly excited to welcome Andrew, Sandra and Robert to the K9 Resorts team.”

K9 Resorts is actively seeking single and multi-unit owners to bring luxury pet boarding and daycare to their community. To learn more about the K9 Resorts franchise opportunity, visit here.
